Dog Bed Tradition

For years, we've followed a tradition that we really never thought much about. But Jordy's original family asked us where Jordy would sleep with us, and it made me think about how I would probably ask the same question if I had to ever give up a dog. We don't think about it much. But it's true - some people don't give the dogs a nice place to sleep. We have neighbors around the block who have a dog door on their garage, and the dogs seem to sleep in the garage most of the year. We could never do this.

In our house, there is a tradition. When we go to bed, we carry the dog beds into the bedroom. When we get up, get ready, and leave in the morning, we toss the dog beds out into the living room. Every day. The dogs always get used to the routine very quickly. Jordy has already adapted to this, too.
